A Mate Worse Than Death

Lisa Ray spends most of her time torturing community college students by forcing them to write essays, especially research essays, or read early American literature and, you guessed it, write essays about what they read. She still can’t believe she gets paid to have that much fun! In her off time, she reads, travels with her husband, and acts as support staff to three very bad cats. When she is especially lucky, she gets to go home to western North Carolina or visit east Tennessee and spend time with her talented, extended family or attend one of Asheville’s amazing beer festivals in the beautiful Appalachian mountains.
