George Wildman, illustrated more than ninety comic and children’s books and is best known for his work featuring King Features’ "Popeye" for various publishers. He illustrated many of the characters created by Disney, Henson, Hanna-Barbera, Time/Warner, Marvel, DC Comics and others. He was the recipient of the National Cartoonists Society’s "Best Comic Book Artist" award and NCS’s CT Chapter’s "Lifetime Achievement" Award. His "Popeye" pop-up book and "Popeye" Easter egg are on permanent display at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. Karl Wildman, a capable or maybe just awesome studio artist of 30-plus years, combines his talents in art, photography and production to create and develop in-house originals.
