The Attitude of Gratitude

My name is Gregory Jamal Selden and I was born on August 3, 1990 and raised in San Bernardino, California. I am a graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA with a degree in Business Marketing. I’ve been inspired to write ever since I was in grade school. I would write ridiculous stories and submit them into the school county writing competitions. My family did not have much while I was growing up, but my parents always worked tirelessly to make sure my older brother, Erik, and older sister, Renee, always had enough. I lost my father at the age of 14 to cancer. This forced me to grow up at a much faster rate. The year after the death of my father, my mother decided we were moving to Richmond, Virginia and took me with her. I was very apprehensive about the move at first, but met many of my closest friends today.
