Dear Hopeless Love. Emotional intelligence is defined by your ability to handle challenging situations that also require "YOU" to deal with someone mentioning the bad things that you do. Most people can’t handle being wrong. When someone identifies a problem with them, they take it as an attack and blow up, shut down, or run from the situation instead of taking it as constructive criticism and learning from it. The moral is that you’re not always right. When someone is genuinely in your corner, they will tell you that. You must have the emotional intelligence and maturity to handle being wrong sometimes. If you just run, you never fix "YOUR" problems and continue to take them everywhere you go.
