Assessing Misperceptions Online About the Security Clearance Process

The authors of this report describe and analyze online information and potential misinformation about the security clearance process. Internet access allows the public to inquire about this process on public forums. Reviewing the content on such forums provides insight into what people are asking--and what answers they are getting--to reveal potential misperceptions about the process.
