Kim O’Shea lives in a small cottage in West Cork surrounded by the beauty of the countryside. She began writing at an early age but put her ambitions aside to concentrate on bringing up her daughter. The writing bug proved too strong and as soon as she could, she once again took up her pen and notepad. She writes both fiction and non-fiction and her The Girl in the Shadows series is based on her own memories of growing up in rural Ireland.
