Shaken Macbeth: An Adaptation for 15 Performers

Kimberly Laberge’s adaptation of Macbeth was created for performance by a cast of fifteen young women double-cast to portray twenty-three different male and female characters. In the well-known centerpiece to The Bard’s tragedies, you’ll experience Macbeth’s lust for power, as well as the madness and bloodbath that ensue for him, his wife, his followers, and his enemies following Macbeth’s murder of Macduff. Appreciate new characters in Macbeth’s Squire and Lady Macbeth’s Handmaid, who-together-comprise a multitude of minor and servant roles to bring new life, new humor, and new relatability to this not-so-new story.
