This goes to show that no matter who you are or who you are related to life will test you to the point of exhaustion without truly knowing what your limits are. Elly must leave his family on a quest that takes him into a contest with a giant arachinoid that sees almost anything as food. He survives only to be wounded and taken captive by the forces of a new foe, one that intends the takeover of both sentient Lands. There is murder, assassins, royal knights and bodyguards, battles fought and barely won. Old allies from beyond a once closed gate assist him and a young king when they struggle to save both homelands against a new and horrible threat. Will these young people do as well as their elders, the ones who won the last war? Or, will those elders be the ones to save them all? Who will win, who will die, who will live? The story of the Land of Eleyse and its offspring, Bethune, goes on to an uncertain future when new foes from beyond an unknown portal and old ones striving to take over what has been oblivious to what could happen when the throne is newly occupied.
