D. Monthei Manske earned a nursing diploma from the Iowa Methodist School of Nursing, Des Moines, IA, in 1971. She was certified in Public Health Nursing by the State of Wisconsin in 1974, and took the "Train the Trainers" course to teach CNA’s in 1975. She received her BS in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1988. She completed Units I, II, and III of Clinical Pastoral Education in the late 1990’s, through the Alexian Brothers, and her parish nurse training through Marquette University in 1997. Ms. Monthei Manske lives in the midwest near Lake Michigan with her husband and an imaginary cat. She maintains an active RN license, but only in case of apocalypse. She retired from nursing in 2013, to become a Renaissance Woman (that means grandmother) and a poet. Blog: dmontheimanske.wordpress.com
