Don Hilton was raised as the second of three sons in a small, northwest Pennsylvania town. His family of unapologetic storytellers made him unsure if the tales he heard were true. Degrees in Philosophy and Science, along with coursework in the education of the hearing impaired followed a mediocre high-school career. "I was in the top half of my class!" His life has been a broad mix of experiences; boat pilot, sweetheart, husband, scientist, statistician, teacher, stand-up comedian, computer expert, father, martial artist, researcher, writer, and author. Along the way, he fought the requisite battles of life and did lots of really dumb stuff that should have killed him dead. He has been rewarded with friendship, family, a cock-eyed sense of humor, and some slight measure of wisdom and peace. The only constant along the way has been his storytelling. After more than a half-century of practice he’s developed some talent. Not near as good as the old folks of his youth, mind you, but he’s getting there.
