Wise Woman’’s Manor

Elaine Gugin Maddex is a wife, mother, grandmother, and author. She was born and raised in the small town of Minnedosa, Manitoba, where as a small child she followed her grandmother about and helped her tend her massive gardens. This left a huge imprint on her life and the small town girl always remained. Elaine is a kitchen herbalist who enjoys concocting herbal remedies, spending time in her herb and perennial gardens, working on her next book, and enjoying time with family and friends. Elaine lives on an acreage in Alberta with her husband, two dogs, two cats, and a wide array of wild birds and local critters.
