This book is not only helpful, but realistic. The author outlines a common-sense approach to dealing with teens on a wide-array of topics. Everything from straight-forward daily communication, to the never-ending battle of High-Tech dependency. The underlying theme throughout the book is empathy and focuses on building a greater trust with your teens by talking to them, rather than harping at them. You'd be surprised how eye-opening this book is; it's definitely worth buying!

Great book. Especially effective for strong willed teens. Full of good reminders such as, be on his side. Don't say things in a way that invites a challenge. Allow your child to experience logical consequences. Full of teaching followed by good examples and answers to questions. Would recommend for parents struggling with teen rebellion or parents of preteens looking to get a headstart.
