On March 5, 1995, the Canadian Government disbanded the Canadian Airborne Regiment due to perceived disciplinary problems that had caused it a series of embarrassments. The Regiment, which was created in 1968, actually represented Canada’s most proficient, capable, combat arms unit. In simplest of terms, it was a killer elite. This book examines the history behind the storied regiment and reveals the causes and the tragic loss to the Canadian Armed Forces and the country, of the decision to disband the nation’s premier warfighting organization.
