Jean-Philippe, originating from a small village in Quebec, now resides in London, pursuing his career as a journalist for a magazine centered on geographical themes. Living out his childhood dream of global exploration akin to the novel ＂Around the World in Eighty Days,＂ he embraces his role with fervor. His editor entrusts him with a column dedicated to unraveling myths from around the world. Alongside his professional endeavors, Jean-Philippe finds love in Rahim, a banker, who teaches him the true meaning of love.

His world is shattered when a call from his mother reveals his father’s battle with cancer, a man he hasn’t seen in five years following an altercation. Continuously compared to his elder brother, Jean-Philippe stands at a crossroads, compelled to return home to confront his past, reconcile differences, and foster reconciliation. However, his reluctance to let go takes its toll on his relationship with Rahim.

Summoning all his courage, Jean-Philippe returns home to prevent further family discord, hoping for his father’s remorse. While there, he reflects on his upbringing, delving into childhood memories and adolescent struggles.
