Always You, Again and Again

Broken once, broken twice - maybe the third time’s the charm?

Nick has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.

Riding our bikes together, misspelled birthday cards, innocent declarations of love... We lived in a fairy tale, our own little bubble. So when he moved continents away, it felt like he took a piece of me with him.

Then he came back in senior year, and we continued where we had left off, promising each other forever this time. But nothing ever goes as planned, and we quickly realized that we weren’t the cheerful, carefree kids we used to be.

When life broke us in ways we thought weren’t possible, I had to leave Nick behind.
