Enrique Belenguer holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and is an associate professor in the Electrical Engineering area of the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering and Design of Universitat Jaume I. His current research areas include (i) Connection of offshore wind farms through DC links, (ii) Integration of renewable energy into the power grid: storage, distributed generation, etc. and (iii) Development of methods for improving energy efficiency. He has been a Professor of Electrical Engineering since 1993, and his teaching profile covers most of the subjects in the field: Electrotechnics, Electrical Machines, Control of Electrical Machines, Power Electronics, Low Voltage Electrical Installations, Lighting Installations, High Voltage Lines and Electrical Installations, Power Systems, and Power Plants.
Héctor Beltrán (holding a degree in Industrial Engineering, 2004, from Jaume I University, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, 2011, from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia) has been an Associate Professor in the area of Electrical Engineering since 2020. He has been affiliated with Jaume I University (UJI) in Castelló since 2006. Previously, he worked for 14 months at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, and in 2004, he joined the Institute of Energy Technology (ITE) in Valencia as a researcher. His research work, focused on the large-scale integration of renewable energy into the system and electrical markets, energy storage systems, and batteries (modeling, characterization, and aging studies), is carried out in the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering and Design at Jaume I University.
