圖書名稱:The Syntax of Nominalizations Across Languages and Frameworks
內容簡介
The papers in this volume began at a workshop on "Nominalizations across Languages" held at Stuttgart University in 2007. Alexiadou (theoretical and English linguistics, Stuttgart University) and Rathert (German linguistics, Bergische University, Wuppertal) divided the papers into two values of which this, on syntax, is the first. The articles look at several languages, Spanish, German, Serbian, Hebrew, French, Bulgarian and English. Deverbal nominalizations are the focus of several with deadjectival nominalizations in French also considered. The German use of adnominal genitives is explored in another article, as is the innate deficiency of nominals in English. All the essays stress the ambiguity inherent in nominals across languages.
