Entangled Images: Romanians and Hungarians from the Middle Ages to the Communist Regime

Sorin Mitu is a professor and head of the Modern History Department at ＂Babes’-Bolyai＂ University, Cluj-Napoca. He has taught there since 1990, becoming a professor in 2003. His research focuses on nationalism theories, modern history, and symbolic geographies. A leading historian, he has published widely in multiple languages, notably on Romanian self-image. Since 2025 he is a member of the Academia Europea (Academy of Europe).
