The goal of this Special Issue was to collect papers (original research articles and review papers) to provide insights about surface-groundwater interaction, integrated water management strategies, groundwater recharge estimation, and the effects of anthropogenic pressures, such as land-use changes and exploitation. Contributions focus on field investigations, field and/or remote sensing data-based numerical modeling approaches, and interdisciplinary management frameworks applied at local, regional, or basin-wide scales.
This Special Issue includes submissions based on both academic research and practical experiences, with a special focus on studies that integrate scientific knowledge with real-world problem solving.
All papers have been published in an open access format following peer review.
