Armbruster presents readers with a comprehensive examination of the use of nostalgia in contemporary television programming, looking at how it is used within shows and becomes the premise under which certain shows are created and marketed. She covers the concept of nostalgia, nostalgia’s relationship to the past, the relationship between aesthetics and emotions, and many other related subjects.
