作者簡介
Meet the Author
Hello Robert, tell us a little about yourself.
Hi. I’m from Scotland but I live in Barcelona, Spain. I write magazines and books for teachers and students of English. I love music. I play the guitar and write songs. So I write songs, stories, books and magazine articles.
How are you inspired to write your stories?
I think the location of a story is very important. Where does the story happen? I usually think of the location first and then imagine the characters. So the idea of this story started with the house next door and then the people inside the house.
What’s the most important part of a story?
The beginning, A Story is like a film. I love going to the cinema. When you watch a film you usually know immediately if you like it or not. It’s the same with a book. The reader must like the story immediately.
Do you know the end of the story when you start writing?
Sometimes. But you often don’t know the end until you start writing the story.
The hero of the story, Eoin, has a blog. Do you have an Internet blog?
No, I don’t. But I have a diary and I try to write something every day. It’s a good way to make notes for stories.
Finally, do you know anyone in Spain called Eoin?
Yes, I do! But he’s not the Eoin in this story. And he isn’t from Spain or England. He’s from Ireland.
