The collection examines the effects of gaming, social media, streaming and videosharing platforms on the production, circulation, and consumption of moving images. Through diverse methodologies-archival research, social media ethnography, and textual analysis-the essays investigate the global movements of film and video formats, the platformization of cultural industries, and the evolving nature of media consumption. The collection is a collaboration of the DFG Graduate Research Program ＂Configurations of Film,＂ the Concordia University’s Platform Lab, and the Digital Cinema-Hub (DiCi-Hub).
