Fie Johansen(b.1953 in Stamford, CT), is a prizewinning photographer and one of the pioneers of dig-ital photography and printing in Denmark. She is also known for her analog work with non-silver and historic printing processes.
She moved to Denmark at seven years old. At the age of sixteen, the family moved to Nairobi in Kenya. From this international upbringing, the inspiration and her life experience bring out her imagery´s intensive power drive, her photography is born from a cool observation, a calmness, a concentration, and a respect towards the seen and the unknown. She has worked with non-silver methods, all darkroom techniques and welcomed the digital toolbox with skill and curiosity.
