Escape from home

Every day, thousands of people set out on the long journey from their war-torn countries of origin to Europe. In addition to the majority of men, women and children also endure the hardships of flight. We are increasingly confronted with this refugee issue in a social education context because there are also many unaccompanied minors among the refugees. These minors have no one to turn to and are therefore not housed in large refugee camps, but mostly in social education facilities. This book describes the work with unaccompanied minor refugees in a social education context, as well as the most important areas of focus and background information.
