Capability Building for Management of Information Technology in University Environments is central in this publication. It looks into the extent to which capability building for information technology management can enhance performance in educational environments. The publication revealed that, in a University educational environment, the teacher, the learner, administrator, auxiliary staff need capability building to enable them live up to date in facing current and future challenges for service delivery and for competitive value. It further indicates that the Information Technology Manager and the Management of the organizations are the drivers of the process. While the Organizational Management decides on who need capability building, the IT Manager ensures the implementation of the process. Basic facet for effective capability building in educational environments such as; skills training, management training, technical training, attitudinal training, career support, incentives, etc. are identified.
