The various processes carried out within a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) require constant identification as to their compliance, in order to improve the quality of care and decrease costs intrinsic to the procedures, correcting early possible failures detectable through the development of strategic maps. Objective: To analyze the management of a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, through the elaboration of strategic maps for procedures. Material and Methods: Descriptive study, with the use of secondary administrative data from a PICU, raised in the period from January to September 2018 in the billing sector of the hospital. The data collected included the tactical, operational and care indicators that, after being identified, were built specific strategic maps, aiming to correct the detected failures. Results: In the tactical, operational and care indicators in which failures were detected, and after construction of the strategic maps for the due correction, an adequate result was observed through the executed action plan.
