A Manager’s Handbook on Medical Coding Standards

This handbook explores the details of healthcare information technology (HIT) medical coding standards. The evolution of technology in healthcare, along with the impact on clinical information systems are covered. The chapters will present an in depth look at standards critical to HIT CPT, DICOM, SNOMED, ICD-9/10/11, LOINC, RxNorms- and at the use of those standards in national regulations. Learners and would be Health IT managers will gain experience in navigating through standards documents and tools.
