Mali is a West African country rich in mineral resources such as gold, copper, iron and phosphate. The mining sector therefore plays an important role in the country’s economy. In terms of human resource management in this sector, there are specific challenges related to continuous professional training, an essential means to develop workers’ skills. Yet, SIDIBE. A & KAKA.Z.Y. (2023) have demonstrated in their research that continuing professional development (CPD) has a positive impact on the development of workers’ skills in a gold mine and on its performance. The mining sector is known to be a challenging sector in terms of human resource management, as it often involves difficult and dangerous work, harsh working conditions and strict health and safety regulations. In this context, more and more mining companies are implementing occupational health and safety programs, training and skills development programs to improve employee safety and well-being. They are also seeking to improve communication with their employees.
