Detection of Competency Level Using People Capability Maturity Model

The People Capability Maturity Model (P-CMM) helps organizations characterize the maturity of their workforce practices, establish a program of continuous workforce development, set priorities for improvement actions, integrate workforce development with process improvement, and establish a culture of excellence. P-CMM has been implemented worldwide by organizations, small and large, such as IBM, Boeing, BAE Systems, Tata Consultancy Services, Ericsson, QAI (India) Ltd., Infosys, etc.The People Capability Maturity Model (People CMM(R)) is a roadmap for implementing workforce practices that continuously improve the capability of an organization’s workforce. The People CMM is introduced in stages since the entire best workforce practices cannot be implemented all at once. Each progressive level of the People CMM produces a unique transformation in the organization’s culture by equipping it with more powerful practices for attracting, developing, organizing, motivating, and retaining its workforce.
