Nowadays, organisations require their staff to be trained in new technologies in order to simplify administrative and production processes; therefore, updating the functions contained in the job descriptions is a task that should not be left behind. The study presented here was carried out at the Universidad Veracruzana and with its administrative staff belonging to the State Union of Workers at the Service of the Universidad Veracruzana (SETSUV). The main objective is to show the relationship between the labour conflicts of the administrative staff within the University of Veracruz and the lack of updating of their job descriptions through a comparative study of some of their positions.
