Advances in technology, particularly simulated techniques, have opened new teaching-learning possibilities for nursing, which increase patient safety and improve quality care. Nursing, due to its theoretical and practical training, requires scenarios in which it can consolidate knowledge, develop competencies in a safe way and reduce adverse events. Learning strategies have gone from being the most reliable method to acquire information to being a process through which the student is provided with guidelines that allow him/her to obtain and understand knowledge for decision making and problem solving, with an active, flexible and reflective participation that favors the environment to generate commitment, innovation, safety and cognitive and practical skills.
