This book was written by civil servants from the state of Minas Gerais, who graduated in Public Administration from the João Pinheiro Foundation’s Professor Paulo Neves de Carvalho School of Government. The purpose of this book is to gather experiences, knowledge and curiosities about public management and pass them on to readers who are sympathetic to the subject. In order to do this, data and information was gathered on various areas of knowledge such as innovation in public management, recruitment and the consequences of Law 100 of 2007, voluntary transfers of state resources to the municipalities of Minas Gerais, public procurement and the process of readjusting administrative contracts, the relationship between the government and the citizen in terms of the provision of public services, education in rural areas and national indicators on education, education in rural areas and a comparison with educational indicators in Minas Gerais and, finally, the relationship between female involvement in drug trafficking and the issue of social vulnerability.
