This book takes an educational approach and focuses on the environment, based on on-site visits to a group of dairy farmers settled in the interior of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. We highlight the importance of carrying out an activity with less environmental impact, emphasising the need to pay attention to waste and residues. The justification for this study is mainly to sensitise dairy farmers to the need to review certain attitudes in the cattle production process, as well as to inform them of the importance of thinking about environmental issues and preserving the environment in which they live. There was a joint effort where everyone carried out a participatory environmental management indicator, helping to raise awareness of environmental issues. This book therefore emphasises the need to sensitise dairy farmers to the importance of carrying out an activity with a lower environmental impact, highlighting the need to pay attention to the disposal of waste and residues.
