The African Union and conflict resolution

The issue of conflict resolution in the eastern part of the DRC continues to give cause for concern, as the wars have attracted a series of armed interventions with the aim of restoring stability. Unfortunately, this multitude of interventions has not been able to restore peace and security in this part of the Democratic Republic of Congo.This book is about the African Union, a continental organization with a Peace and Security Council that aims to prevent, manage and resolve conflicts in Africa, but the presence of this council does not exempt the organization from the various challenges it faces in resolving conflicts in Africa.In this book, we focus on the Democratic Republic of Congo, because the war in the east of the DRC is one of the biggest wars the African continent has seen since independence.Readers, both informed and uninformed, will find in this book elements for understanding the challenges of conflict resolution and the tools for resolving them.
