The aim of this work is to analyse the importance of a fleet maintenance management system to improve the productivity and availability of a haulage company, proposing solutions so that the system works correctly. The need for a management model was suggested because the company’s owners saw the need to keep up to date with other companies in the sector. They realised that they were losing contracts due to vehicle failures as a result of inadequate fleet maintenance. The methodology used in this work is of the descriptive type with a case study and bibliographical and documentary research. During the case study, consultations were made with the vehicle manuals as well as the service orders that the company uses. It was verified during this study that the company is totally committed to the customer and aims to improve maintenance for its evolution and survival.
