It seeks to analyse what teachers think, how they act in the context of the academy, how management is understood and worked, but also, and fundamentally, the students’ perspective; that is, the image they have of the teacher trainer and the process they have experienced during their time at the teacher training college. Observation, interviews and the analysis of documents of research relevance have been fundamental to find empirical material that can be analysed and supported from a critical stance, which surely makes the teachers uncomfortable, but self-analysis is needed to find the meanings of their own work and the influence exerted on the students.
