The work includes the global plan for teaching the subject of national taxation, its content will provide students with the necessary orientation to learn about the national tax system, applying it in a practical way, developing cases, using group dynamics, which will help them to understand the functioning of the national tax system, and how it affects the country’s economy. The syllabus comprises five units, taking into account the history of taxes, up to the current tax configuration, explaining the value added tax, the transaction tax, the VAT complementary regime, and finally the tax on company profits. This will help students to apply and solve tax problems in their professional and academic life. The methodology will be based on competences, taking into account the combination of knowledge, skills and abilities, represented in the three skills: knowing-knowing, knowing-doing, and knowing-being. The subject will be developed to build knowledge and improve attitudinal skills, through the proposed group and individual activities.
