The transformation of a stadium into an arena

This research set out to investigate the following problem: how can the transformations that took place between 2009 and 2014, in terms of infrastructure and functionality, at the Joaquim Américo Guimarães Stadium, influence the ways in which it is appropriated as a leisure and sports facility in the city of Curitiba? Since, based on the possible answers found, we will be able to gain a deeper understanding of the ＂Arena da Baixada＂ soccer stadium as an important component of the city.
