Research work carried out as a requirement to obtain a Master’s Degree in Education (2008). The author proposes a journey through the different conceptions of reading as well as a brief analysis of the concepts of Learning and Teaching, in order to understand the different models on teaching reading and training of readers that followed one another. It is also proposed to go into the first experiences of the Uruguayan Primary School with the incorporation of technologies in the classrooms within the framework of the Ceibal Plan, OLPC Project.
