Soft scale insects (Hemisphere: Cicadae) are small herbivorous insects found on all continents except Antarctica which are extremely invasive and many species are serious agricultural pests. Some of soft-scale insects are useful with economic value, and some of them are harmful it harm plants, and this is determined by the type of each insect and its life cycle. It’s the third largest family of super family (Coccidian) after armored scales and mealy bugs.
