Care and concern for the environment is becoming increasingly intense, and it is necessary to find alternatives that help minimize the impacts that are continually being caused. Through research and studies, alternatives have emerged for reusing waste that can increase the strength of concrete and contribute to sustainability, rather than being disposed of inappropriately. As rice production is intense in Rio Grande do Sul and other states, a large volume of solid waste is generated as a result of processing and beneficiation activities, identified as rice husk ash. When this waste is not disposed of correctly, it causes serious environmental and health problems. This has led to the search for studies and research into the possibility of substituting this waste as construction materials, which in addition to generating ecological and economic benefits, can also improve some of the properties of concrete.
