The pressure exerted by the fight against poverty forces countries in this situation to take a strategic position in the fight against it. Mozambique is one of them. The creation of special economic zones is now a strategy for a country’s development. It is with this in mind that Mozambique decreed Nacala a special economic zone in order to attract foreign and domestic investment to stimulate the country’s development. Hence the following question: what perception do investors (companies) have of the benefits of operating in this zone? The study took a qualitative approach in the form of a case study. Five (5) companies operating in a special economic zone and three (3) companies not operating in a special economic zone were interviewed. A semi-structured interview was used. Based on the thematic content, categories were established to analyse the responses. The book therefore presents in a pedagogical way the investors’ perception of the benefits of operating in the Nacala special economic zone. It presents a series of benefits enjoyed or not by these investors (companies).
