This bibliographical research paper deals with moral damages in social security benefits by analysing possible damages resulting from defects and irregularities detected in the granting of social security benefits. Firstly, it studies moral damage in social security law and the characterisation of social security rights as fundamental social rights and the alimentary nature of social security benefits, as well as those responsible for defects resulting from moral damage in social security law and its principles. Secondly, the social security benefits and the types of defects that give rise to moral damage are studied. We also study the identification of moral damage resulting from defects in the granting of social security benefits, the configuration of social security moral damage and its reparation.
