Beer is one of the most widely consumed alcoholic beverages in the world, and Brazil is the world’s third largest producer. You could say that as well as carnival and football, beer has also become part of the culture of the Brazilian people. The flavours and aromas of a beer are formed not only by the activity of the yeast, but also by the raw materials used and the production techniques. This book aims to highlight the importance of raw materials in the beer production process, and the function of each of these components.
