O papel do coordenador no acompanhamento pedagógico is a work aimed at education professionals and seeks to understand the school reality and its challenges. The choice of theme is the result of reflections on the author’s practice as a teacher and coordinator, which generated concerns about some situations experienced in the school context and which led her to study the subject in greater depth. The book reflects on the role of the pedagogical coordinator within school management, reviewing the historical context of this professional, from its origins to current challenges and reflecting on their attributions. It then analyzes the context, the subjects and the instruments used in the research and analyzes the data. Finally, it discusses the role of the coordinator in the process of coordinating pedagogical support, the importance of this support for improving teaching practice and student learning, as well as the value of continuing teacher training for their pedagogical practice. The results showed that the work carried out by the pedagogical coordinator contributes to the efficiency of the teaching and learning process, since he is the coordinator of this process.
