The purpose of this book is to think about the city, the urban and the public space delineated by popular cultural manifestations. By appropriating the city’s streets, new physical and symbolic meanings are attributed. Thus, in the same city, different times and spaces coexist, reconstructed from the subjectivities of the subjects, in collective organization. However, these uses and counter-uses do not take place on the margins of the power relations that perpetuate the organic nature of the city.
