This work focuses on urbanisation in this municipality between the 1930s and 1940s and its builders, who are forgotten by the politicians of the cocoa region. It is a memory that is not silenced and shows its reality in the streets of the city of Ilhéus, generating the urban economy and social life of bourgeois cocoa society. At the same time, we seek to discuss how, even if sometimes silenced, other memories and stories are still present in different parts of the city, being a historical journey without escaping the reality of the time.
