The book reflects on the use of the Moodle virtual learning environment in children’s learning to write. It contains the results of doctoral research into how Information and Communication Technologies can contribute to breaking away from the linear logic of the school routine by introducing new spaces for children to interact with texts and collaborative and social networks. The dialogical process of interaction between children and these spaces can provide new conditions for the construction or reconstruction of language, involving different possibilities for the socialisation of knowledge and the exchange of children’s experiences. In this study, we sought to analyse how children in the first year of primary school learn to write using AVA-Moodle, with a view to adding information, knowledge and collective activities in a constant process of learning reconstruction. Potentiating this educational process beyond the walls of the school, in which the child becomes the protagonist of their learning.
