Expansion of the Port of Rio de Janeiro - Economic and Logistical Feasibility

This study aims to evaluate, from a technical and financial perspective, the impacts of an expansion project at a container terminal in the Port of Rio de Janeiro. Based on the construction of a simulation model, it is possible to verify how ship queues and operating times behave with and without expansion, in different economic growth scenarios. This also verifies the economic feasibility of the project in each of the scenarios, which is a fundamental analysis for decision-making by private companies.
