Education to Flies is the result of a master’s thesis in Education, developed at Unicamp, in the area of Philosophy of Education, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Silvio Gallo. It is a bibliographic investigation, with the works of Jean-Paul Sartre, Being and Nothingness, a philosophical text, and The Flies, a play, as its objects of study. The focus is on presenting the relationship between Philosophy and Theatre within the context of education, with regard to Sartre’s project of thinking about the human condition in its radical, contingent and engaged existence in the world. The objective is to describe the possibility of thinking about education based on Sartrean thought. An education created in the improvisation of a free and engaged performance with the very situation of being in the world to which one commits and becomes responsible. An education of situations - understood as the freedom to create oneself, in an authentic way, as a being in the world engaged with one’s own existential and historical situation.
